Since starting The Jake Tallon 47 Strong Foundation, together we have been able to make an incredible impact:
• Over $40,000 awarded to help a family and support a student attend Jake’s school who otherwise would not have had the opportunity
• $5,000 awarded in soccer scholarships, with even more to come in the months ahead
• $25,000 raised toward the raising and training of a service/facility dog at St Louis Children’s
None of this would have been possible without the love, support, and generosity of this amazing community. Thank you for helping us keep Jake’s legacy alive every single day. 💛⚽️🎗️ #47Strong #Forever47Strong
We have some exciting news 🤍
Our $4,747 match has officially been met and because of you, we’ve raised nearly $20,000 this year.
We’ve reached our first goal for the SLSG Living Legacy Fund, and thank you to all who joined us on April, 11th. What a beautiful event it was honoring Jake.
We’ll also be making our first donation to Duo Dogs very soon. We’ve committed to completing the second half when Casey retires and his successor is announced. This is incredibly meaningful to our family, and we are so grateful to see it coming to life.
We’ve released special Forever 47 Strong merchandise in time for Go Gray in May, and we are planning our first 47 Strong soccer tournament which will be on June 13th, 2026 at Soccer Park in Fenton, MO⚽️
Thank you for every donation, every share, and every message.
Thank you for helping us keep Jake’s legacy alive 💛

To all who donated in honor of Jake, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, love, and support. It has taken us time to work through the overwhelming outpouring of kindness for Jake, and we sincerely apologize for not being able to thank each of you individually. Your support helped inspire us to create The Jake Tallon 47 Strong Foundation, where we will continue giving back and keeping Jake’s legacy alive for years to come.
About Jake
Jake was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor, known as a high-grade astrocytoma with piloid features (HGAP), on October 15, 2021, at just eleven years old. He fought bravely for three and a half years, inspiring thousands around the world through the #47Strong hashtag campaign.
Jake was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family, friends, and his dogs. He had a passion for soccer and continued to play throughout his treatment. He fought hard, never complaining, never feeling sorry for himself. He kept smiling through the toughest days and never gave up, but ultimately lost his battle on March 1, 2025.
This foundation was created to honor Jake’s legacy and to give back to the programs that meant so much to him and to our family.

SLSG Living Legacy 2026 Honorees
On April 11th, Jake was honored into the SLSG Living Legacy Foundation.
Jake “Jakey” Riley Tallon was a cherished member of the St. Louis Scott Gallagher family whose passion for soccer and unwavering spirit left a lasting mark on our community. A dedicated player and loyal teammate, Jake inspired those around him with his courage, resilience, and love for the game. His impact on Scott Gallagher Soccer extends far beyond the field, and his legacy will forever remain part of our club. #47strong
The Living Legacy Foundation honors amazing individuals like Jake, who had a deep love for soccer, community involvement, and St. Louis Scott Gallagher. The Living Legacy Foundation is a way to carry on their amazing legacies by providing scholarships for current members of our club to help aid them financially in the ability to play the game they love.
One of our missions is to help fund St. Louis Youth Soccer scholarship programs.

Ongoing Mission
The placement of St. Louis Children’s Hospital’s next Facilty Duo Dog-the future successor to Casey
During Jake’s nearly four year battle with brain cancer, therapy dogs were not just visitors, they were lifelines.
They calmed his fear before scans.
They stayed beside him during treatments.
They reminded him he was still a kid, not just a diagnosis.
At St. Louis Children’s Hospital, a very special Duo Dog named Casey brought comfort to Jake and peace to our entire family when we needed it most.
Every child fighting for their life deserves that kind of comfort.
The ongoing goal of The Jake Tallon 47 Strong Foundation is to sponsor the placement of St. Louis Children’s Hospital’s next Duo Dog, the future successor to Casey.
Your generous gift will support the breeding, whelping, raising, and specialized training of the future successor to Duo Dog Casey at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, ensuring the continuation of compassionate, life-changing support for the patients and families they serve. We will follow this puppy’s journey along the way.
We cannot do this alone. It costs $50,000 to place a dog due to the extensive training and care.
Honoring Jake Through the Game He Loved
Join us for the Jake Tallon 47 Strong Soccer Tournament, a day dedicated to honoring Jake’s life, his love for soccer, and the strength of community that continues to carry his legacy forward.
This tournament brings players, families, and supporters together regardless of their club for a day of competition, connection, and remembrance. All proceeds support the mission of the Jake Tallon 47 Strong Foundation, helping continue Jake’s living legacy through youth programs, community support, and the sport he loved most.

Go Gray in May 💛🩶
May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month — a time to honor fighters, remember angels, and raise awareness for a disease that impacts far too many families.
Some facts to know:
• Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related death in children and teens.
• Each year, thousands of children in the U.S. are diagnosed with a brain tumor.
• More than 120 types of brain tumors exist, making treatment complex and different for every child.
• Childhood brain cancer research remains significantly underfunded compared to many other cancers.
This May, we ask you to Go Gray in May in honor of Jake and every child bravely fighting this battle.
Wear gray. Share their stories. Spread awareness. Support research. Never forget.
